A narrow strip of soil along a sidewalk was tilled behind the EPRIDA research facility. This was divided in three sections: control (no biochar), commercial charcoal, EPRIDA low-temperature biochar. All three sections got conventional NPK fertilizers. Before mid-summer, both char-enriched sections showed clear advantage. EPRIDA-process biochar showed the best gain.
