Hybrid Burner
Rocket Stove + 2-Barrel Retort
30-gallon Retort in 55-gallon Kiln

July 26, 2009, Jim Welch from Troy, NY built a hybrid biochar burner in my backyard. His design emerged from my suggestion to combined a rocket stove under a 2-barrel nested retort. This separates burner from retort, so fuelwood isn't packed in a tight space between two barrels.
